Does anyone have plans or photos of an electric powered planishing hammer ?
I have seen some plans but they were $200,
I would rather spend the $200 buying tooling then just for the plans
I do not have an air compressor and I think an electric one will make less noise
Thanks for your Help

I looked at some of the stuff in the gallery
a couple of questions.....
what is the stroke ? can you vary it , or do you even need to ?
is the electric motor single speed ? or can you use a variable speed motor ?
What RPM range should I be looking at ?
I plan on forming 18-20 gauge sheet steel and aluminum
Should I plan design it to accept 3/4 inch Pullmax tooling ?
thanks for the info......Rally

Rally, the stroke is the distance the tool moves under power. Some machines have an adjustable stroke and some don't. You can compensate for thickness changes or stroke changes with the lower die holder. Most hammers are not variable speed, but a VFD would cure that inexpensively. Several tooling options can be used...
