Minn Regional Meet - We had a great time

The Nov 13-13 meet at Dan Pate's shop was a success. we planned the meet and posted a notice about 3 weeks ago, 25 - 35 people responded and attended. Dan's wife, LuAnn, provided a wonderful lunch of homemade barbeque, salad, beans and Rice Krispy Treat Bars.

Dan's shop is in the country, a picture book setting with cars and Peacoks dotting the landscape. Small cars and large motors seems to be the theme.

We got an early start on Saturday and did numerous projects. Everone seemed to find a spot to fit in.

The group decided that we should get together around Minneapolis near the middle weekend of each odd numbered month. So I will work with shops in the area to make sure it happens.

We will be meeting somewhere about January 15th. mark your calendar!

Could you PLEASE post dates of the Jan meet ASAP ?

I work weekends and my employer says he can't find someone to take my place so the more advance notice the better.

On my behalf THANKS to Dan Pate for his hosting this event. I made it Sunday and there were about 10± people there banging, clanging and grinding away. Met some real interesting guys and I did not irritate anybody too much by standing in their shadows watching and asking my low grade questions.

Dan's wife served up a great warm lunch and that hit the spot; although I don't think I ever thought about food because everyone was doing stuff that was so interesting.
