Hi Dan
Welcome to Metalmeet!
I'm thinking of having a little get together at my place around the end of May. I've also heard of a few people in California that are trying to set something up.
There needs to be a west coast meet!

If you hold it, they will come! I've participated in 5 regional meets and all of them had attendence that doubled what was expected. I'd come out but California is a LONG haul.

I might be able to make it from MT to WA if the one there materializes. You could look into some of the aircraft people for a hangar to hold it in...

I will "try" to make it there, if I can. I just ran the miles, here at work, 680 miles from Lethbridge,AB to Everett,WA. Maybe I can convince a couple friends to come also. John Van Oostenbrugge

I'm a novice to metelshaping but I'd love to meet in the NW and learn. I've been working with wood and metal for a long time. buy new to sheetmetal. I'm getting into ornamental ironwork as a hobby.
Thanks Mike A

I'd in for something here in the region. I've just started getting into more of the shaping of sheetmetal and want to be able to see first hand how other's are doing it and with what tool's.

Hi Gang
I was going to have a meet at my house the end of May, but some developer came by and offered me way to much money for my place, so I had to move!!
I am trying to get everything moved, and set up in my new location, but it is taking longer then I thought it would. So I may have to move it to July, will know more after this weekend.

I would be interested in something in the Northwest. I am in Kent, WA trying to restore a couple of old hotrods.

I am going to try and hold another meet here in So Ca. The meet probably won't happen until next march.
Just about every thursday we have a meet here at my shop to work on the Barracuda streamliner.
If you have a place to have a meet, set a date and I am sure that some members will show up. If you need some help PM me and we will talk.

Is this the buck that resulted from the T-deck that was at the last meet, that Steve was working with? If it isn't, what year is it.

Hi Pete

Yes it's from the meet at Tony's. I don't know what year it's from. I still need to get with Tony to complete, but have had zero time. Lucky to check the site a few times a month.

---Hi Tom, I will probably be setting everything up on friday before the meet, You are always welcome here for a visit. I have got the T turtle deck and some parts that Steven was working on, we can continue working on that.
Larry, I think that the buck that Tom has got came from Stevens shop. It's the same T turtle deck as last year.

Are you thinking of going, send me a PM with you phone number.

12-17-2005, 06:38 AM
airports close are Ontario, San Diego , and I think United flys into Carlsbad,
Carlsbad is pretty small and might not have many rental cars

a little farther away is Orange county/ John Wayne Airport and LAX

Tony Sanchez

---John, my first choice would be Ontario airport. I use San Diego airport once in a while, but the traffic between here and San Diego is getting real bad.
It would be great if you could come out for the 2nd Menifee Metal Meet.

12-17-2005, 11:40 AM
Tony, it would depend on a lot of things, but if possible I'd like to..........john

If you could let us know exactly what weekend I would also be interested in coming. But I will have to put in for the leave request the first two weeks in Jan. so I can assure that I can get the time off.

---Hi Mercmeteor,
Welcome to the MetalMet site, this is a great place to hang out. If you look in the fourms list you will find a place to make a formal introduction, it's a bit friendlier to use first names and know a little about you. There is also a photo section, we would like to see any projects that you have. We just like photos.
I would be very pleased for you to come to Menifee MetalMeet, we would like very much to meet one of Americas best. If you look in the header above you will find MetalMeet Events Calendar, open that and look under March 11 & 12 and you will find all the information about the meet. If you need more information e-mail me at fatfendertruck@gmail.com and I will get back to you ASAP.
Bring any hand tools that you may need, make sure that you mark them. You should also bring eye and ear protection and any other safety equipment that you may need. There is always a shortage of shot bags, stands, and e-wheels.
