Several years ago I picked up a used Miller Econo Twin HF welder It's a 150 amp AD-DC stick and tig with high frequency. I've done some stick welding with it and later I got a 60cu. ft. argon bottle and an air cooled torch so I could do some TIG welding. I'm getting better and now here is my question. This machine has no foot peddle and no place to add one, is there someway to wire a foot peddle to this welder?

Thanks,

Bob,
You can call Miller 1-800-426-4553 and ask for a tech sheet for your machine. That'll list all the available options and accessories for your machine. If you don't see what you want, call that same number and ask for there tech support. They have been very helpful every time I've dealt with them. You can also check out

Hi Bob,

I looked at those machines right after they first came out and I am sure the one I saw had a foot cotrol with it. As Norton said, call Miller I believe you can get a foot control.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replys. I visited a dealer a few days ago and he got out the wiring diagram and the exploded view for the welder. He told me that because of the way that the amps are regulated that it is impossible to add a foot control. He did not try to sell me a new welder, he just said I would have to adjust my technique to make up for the lack of the control. Practice practice practice.

Thanks,
