wanted-- 11 or 12" lathe

I am looking to purchase a 11 or 12" bench top or similiar lathe
to my workshop. Must be near upstate, NY and in decent working condition. ALSO a verticle mill of sim. size. if anyone know of please send P.M.

How much are you looking to spend? I have a 13" Leblonde lathe with quick change post (like Aloris) (Single Phase) and a 9x42 Bridgeport Mill with static convertor and a bunch of tooling. I thought about selling them. Make me an offer. I'm 20 minutes north of Syracuse.

If you're in the Central NY area, I would just pick up a copy of the Swap Sheet. There are frequently lathes and mills listed there.

Another good source for equipment is machinery auctions. You can often buy equipment for a very good price. Large machinery often sells cheap because no one wants to move it.

You're supposed to use the tools, not sell them! Unless of course you need to sell them to buy better tools :)
I should get up your way some time. I drove by several weeks ago, but no one was around.
