Rare opportunity to own a one of a kind hand built aluminum bodied roadster designed in the early Indy car style. Completed in 1999, master builder Ray Kinney fabricated every body panel. The "32 Special" is powered by a Falcaner Racing Engines built 296cid Ardun Ford V8 linked to a new Borg Warner T5 5-speed transmission. This car has won top awards at many major shows, and was a cover feature in Street Rod Builder Magazine. The body is formed from 1/16th thick aluminum in 22 separate removable panels, including a ventilated full-length belly pan enclosing the bottom of the car.

This car was built by Ray Kinney at his shop in Atascadero, Ca. Ray is not only an extroardinary craftsman but a gifted designer as well. Design details under the hood, the chassis and in the cockpit reflect the same simplicity of design and craftsmanship that you see in these pictures. I will contact him regarding becoming a member of this site.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the info on the car. As I said in my original post the desgn of this car is outstanding. I think it is one of the best one off designs that I have seen in the last 20 years. It melds a lot of vintage lines together to create a real smooth appearance that looks just right. :D. Hope you can get Ray to join up and introduce himself to the members.
