Hi There

Just a few words of introduction from a couple of islands waaay down under.

I have a long background in car tinkering and in the past few years have been working towards bodywork and metal shaping related projects.

I have a large garage which is mostly filled with my "collection" of old clunkers, including a 69 Lincoln Continental, 64 Mercury Monterey Convertible, 71 Holden Kingswood (Australian GM vehicle) and 68 Morris Minor Traveller (baby woodie). These are all drivers and only get worked on when necessary. All have had (or need) minor rust repairs and patching.

My major project is a kind on "hot rod" Morris Minor. It used to be a van but is now cut down into a roadster pickup style body. Chassis is custom built (I had this done for me) and engine is a 4cyl Nissan turbo (SR20DET).

Metalshaping requirements on this are growing. I have already done a lot of rust repair on the front cab. I am just tackling the rear "wellside" area. The floor will be totally replaced. I think I'll make a hammerform to shape new outer wheel arch panels. Then there is a need for a new transmission tunnel, firewall and inner guards.

I've just spent some time and effort (and a little $$$) building an ewheel frame based on Kerry's adjuster designs. It turned out quite well. All I need to do is organise some more lower anvils, but I need to find a lathe I can use for these.

Trev, I see you have made a few prior posts, glad you got around to your introduction. Lots of guys never get to it.

Hey, your MM is looking good, roadster pickup, that should be a one of a kind when finished. The wheel is looking good, I can't tell where the working height is goin to be. I assume you have that you have that worked out where it is comfortable for you.

Great pictures and projects, keep us up to date, and welcome to metalmeet....john
