I know of a Niagra shear (3') that I can get fairly reasonably but it does not have a blade. Is there a source for these blades? I can't seem to locate this company online.

Hi Andy,
The blades new might cost as much as what you expect to pay for the shear..... Old 3' stomp shears go for $200.00 to $600.00 as a rule.
Look for one with good blades or one that has blades that can still be sharpened.

Where can you find blades? The guy says he has 4' blades. Can these 4' blades be modified to fit a 3' machine?

Hi Andy,
Yes the 4' blades can be used , if the mount holes are the same. Just cut off the excess.

Blades are wickedly pricey alright....any large machine shop can grind them. (If their surface grinder has a travel to match your blade length) You can usually shim them a fair bit before tossing them.
